Manufactured Housing FRAME program A Breakthrough in Manufactured Home Design PRODUCT OVERVIEWFRAME is a data driven CAD program specifically designed for the Manufactured Building Industry for the creation and drafting of frame walls. FRAME is “rules” based on standard construction practices. The rules can be easily adapted or modified to fit your needs. Because FRAME is rules based, a common building design can be applied to different manufacturing plants and reflect the individual specifications for each manufacturing location with automatic re-draw of the building.
Drawing creation is easy via the graphic interface that automatically creates a Layout Drawing, Stud Cut List and Bill of Material Data File. Updates and design changes are easily modified via the graphic interface.
FRAME has been created with an open architecture that allows the user (CAD Manager) to change design parameters and constraints as needed.
GRAPHICAL INTERFACE (see examples for Dialog Boxes)User Pick lower left corner, upper right corner of unit and middle left of double-wide units Program shows "Framing Plant Data" dialog box with Length & Width all ready input User fills in the remainder of Plant data User selects wall number block Pick start of wall and end of wall Program shows left side of “Add/Edit Frame Wall Data” dialog box Pick start and end of Window openings Program shows “Add/Edit Opening (Window) Data” dialog box Pick start and end of Door openings Program shows “Add/Edit Opening (Door) Data” dialog box Pick start and end of Access openings Program shows “Add/Edit Opening (Access) Data” dialog box Pick location for “Vertical Stud” Program shows “Add/Edit Vertical Stud (LayFlat) Data” dialog box Pick start and end of Horizontal blocking Program shows “Add/Edit Horizontal Stud/Blocking Data” dialog box Program Loops for additional Walls
FEATURESEach plant has its own standards that can be modified permanently or for unique projects.
Each wall defaults to plant specifications size limits and member sizes, and can be overridden as required.
Components of a wall include - OPENINGS (door, window, pass-through, access) VERTICAL STUDS (lay flat or on edge) HORIZONTAL STUDS (lay flat or on edge).
WALL PARAMETERS · Side, end, shear, interior · Angled, perpendicular, parallel · Flat or Vaulted ceiling · Height of Flat wall · Wall layout from left or right · Stud Layout from left or right (or Center for Single-wide units) · Stud-capped end wall (for Double-wide end walls) · Distance to start of wall · Distance to end of wall · Length of wall · Angle of wall · Stud spacing (plant default) · Stud thickness (plant default) · Double top plate (plant default) · Top plate thickness (plant default) · Bottom plate thickness (plant default) · Wall width (plant default) · Layout type for Wallboard (Tape & Texture, Vinyl on Gyp) · Special wall notes by wall
